Companies can obtain a grant for employing a business researcher. Maximum: DKK 323,000 against salary over three years. Companies can obtain a non-refundable grant for research and development projects, which contribute to the development of aids and services for elderly and handicapped persons. Maximum: For preliminary projects: DKK 200,000. There is no established ceiling for main projects. Companies can obtain a grant for the development, processing and improvement of agricultural and fishery products, as well as for activities leading to the commercial exploitation of such development work. Maximum: 40%. Quality and Skills Development
Business Development Finance (VaekstFonden) finances development costs relating to R&D, internationalisation and skills development, as well as capital plant costs connected with promising and high-risk company development. Maximum loan: 45% of total project costs. Maximum guarantee: 50% of project costs. Companies can obtain grants for projects, which improve the qualifications of the employees - particularly in small and medium companies. Maximum: 40% of the project costs. Grants are available for projects, which increase the employees' individual development, responsibility and skills, and improve the company's opportunities for growth and development. Maximum: 50%, normally up to DKK 700,000. Companies can obtain grants to engage unemployed persons for job training, as well as to help establish job rotation schemes. Finance is also available for training employed persons who join job rotation schemes Maximum: DKK 47.46 per hour. Small and medium companies can obtain grants to employ trained, long-term unemployed persons for up to 6 moths on special projects, which can advance a company's development and growth. Maximum: 50% of gross salary up to DKK 11,000 in 6 months. Export / International Co-operation
The Export Credit Fund (EKF) provides guarantees covering exceptional export risks, namely political and commercial risks, which are not normally covered by the private credit insurance market. EKF also provides export finance for capital goods and projects with extended credit at fixed interest, CIRR interest. Environment,Energy and the Work Environment
Private companies can obtain grants for waste and re-cycling projects. Maximum: 100%. Companies can obtain grants for disposal of waste oil collected in Denmark - but not waste oil from ships. Maximum: The amount of oil tax paid by the applicant on the oil. Certain companies with large energy consumption can obtain grants to cover their CO2 tax. Businesses can obtain grants for projects and other activities which promote energy saving or more effective use of energy. These include conversion to more energy-effective technologies and production methods. Maximum: For investment projects: 30%, though for standard solutions 26%. For energy survey and other consultancy: 50% for small and medium companies, 30% for larger companies. For development, research and demonstration projects, as well as information activities, training and preliminary projects with very broad aims: 100%, though normally 50% for small and medium companies and 30% for larger companies. For engagement of an energy advisor/employee: 50%. Companies, organisations and individuals can obtain grants for energy research and development projects. They can also obtain grants for international co-operation, technology development, and support and documentation in this area. Maximum: 100%. Private companies can obtain grants for projects which prevent bodily damage resulting from lifting heavy items. Maximum: 50%, normally to maximum DKK 730,000. Small and medium Danish privately-owned companies in commerce, services and manufacture can obtain grants for the employment of an unemployed, highly-qualified person, who can initiate developments in environmental and working environment areas. Maximum: 50%, normally to maximum DKK 730,000. Companies can obtain grants for projects which reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing and consumption, as well as minimise pollution and waste. Maximum: 100%. Companies can obtain grants for projects which advance the development and use of insulation materials with low environmental impact during production and use, and with reduced impact on the working environment. Maximum: For public projects with full public access: up to 100%. For basic research: up to 100%. For feasibility studies prior to industrial research: 85% for small and medium companies (SMEs), 50% for others. For industrial research and feasibility studies prior to development work at pre-competition stage: 60% for SMEs, 50% for others. For development work at pre-competition stage: 35% for SMEs, 25% for others. Companies can obtain grants for type- and systems-approved renewable energy plant, as well as for development projects relating to renewable energy. Maximum: 30% for solar energy and bio-gas plant, 15% for heat pump plant, 21% for bio-fuel plant. Maximum DKK 1 million per installation. 100% for development projects, 50% for demonstration installations, 40% for development projects carried out by manufacturing companies. RegionalBusiness Development / Special Development Funds
Small and medium companies on Lolland can obtain grants for private investments in plant, product development, consultancy and information, analyses, and formation of networks for information transfer and business development. Maximum: Regional Fund: 30% of the costs of production investments and 50% of other costs.
Small and medium companies in North Jutland can obtain grants for private investments in plant, product development, consultancy and information, analyses, and formation of networks for information transfer and business development. Maximum: Regional Fund: 30% of the costs of production investments and 50% of other costs. Social Fund: up to 45%.
Companies from selected areas can obtain grants for projects which create or maintain permanent jobs and improve income levels, with due regard to the protection of nature and the environment. Maximum: Agricultural Fund: up to 50%. Regional Fund: up to 50%, though only to 40% for infrastructure projects and to 30% for private plant costs.
Companies can obtain grants for the promotion of business development and employment in Municipalities dependent on fishery. Maximum: FIUF: up to 100%, though to maximum 30% for private investments. Regional Fund: up to 50%, though only to 40% for infrastructure projects and to 30% for private plant costs. Development capital for growth companies Small and medium companies with growth potential have the opportunity to obtain the necessary capital and knowledge from one of 17 development companies which cover many sectors. To obtain such capital, the company must have: less than 250employees, an annual turnover below DKK 300 million, or an annual balance below DKK 200million.
